Lydia brings enthusiasm, curiosity, and a deep passion for preserving the stories embedded in objects of every kind. Originally from Michigan, Lydia comes to Cleveland from Massachusetts, where she served as the Objects Conservation Mellon Fellow at Historic New England (HNE), caring for objects across 38 historic homes throughout the region. Prior to her work at HNE, Lydia served as an intern at the National Park Service’s Western Archeological Center for Conservation in Tucson, Arizona, where her projects included a collection’s survey of historic artifacts from the Chiricahua National Monument and treating prehistoric metal objects excavated from Arches National Park. Outside the lab, Lydia enjoys all forms of crafting and spending time with her two dogs, Chicken and Bucket.
