The question is, once you’ve identified a hazard what do you do to mitigate the risk to museum staff and visitors alike? The collection of the National Museum of the United States Air Force (NMUSAF) contains just about every type of hazard imaginable, and the Air Force even continues to create new ones to keep them on their toes. Come spend an hour with Jennifer Myers, NMUSAF's objects conservator, and learn about the hazards in their collection, the surprising places they find them, and how they have begun to tackle storage and handling procedures to keep this unique collection safe for those who encounter them.
