Performing Arts Readiness Initiative

DISASTER PREPAREDNESS PROGRAM FOR PERFORMING ARTS

Are you prepared?

The arts are always at great risk of loss from unanticipated disasters. Even a small  chaotic event can impact operations and cause an interruption of performances in the community. The best way to recover from an unexpected event of any type is to plan in advance – to be in a state of readiness.

ICA is partnering with LYRASIS in  Performing Arts Readiness (PAR),  a comprehensive program, focused on preparing for a disaster, both minor and major. ICA’s PAR Circuit Rider, Stephanie Petcavage, will lead this disaster preparedness program in Northeast Ohio. The PAR program will building a culture of readiness and prepare response guidelines within arts organizations. Each organization will receive a risk assessment, and help in developing an action plan with prioritized steps to respond to crisis situations while mitigating damage.

ICA hopes our colleagues in the performing arts and our Northeast Ohio cultural partners will take advantage of this opportunity to become ready for any situation, ensuring sustainability and continuation of operations while protecting your valuable and irreplaceable resources.

If you are interested in learning more, or you’re ready to sign up for this FREE program, contact Stephanie Petcavage at ICA, 216-658-8700, ext. 222, or visit the PAR website.

This free program is made possible through funding from The Andrew W. Mellon Foundation.
