Education/Field Services

Since its inception over a half-century ago, the ICA’s mission has included the dissemination of knowledge about cultural heritage preservation.

The ICA’s Field Services Division conducts outreach and education for those in need of instruction in conservation topics.  Field services staff work with institutions and the public to determine preservation training needs and develop a range of educational offerings to address those needs.  Regular programming includes workshops, symposia, and lecture series.

The Field Services Division provides additional outreach services including surveys, disaster response assistance, and grant assistance.
